Geese
Geese are medium to large birds. All geese eat an exclusively vegetarian diet. Both sexes look mostly alike, although some species have differences in plumage. Gander are very protective of the nestling female and goslings, but do not share incubation duties.

Bar-Headed (Anser Indicus)

Bar-Headed Geese are normally not aggressive and can be kept with other waterfowl species. Both sexes are similar in colour and are ground nesters.

Orinoco (Neochen Jubata)

Both Orinoco Goose sexes are identical in colour. They could be aggressive towards other waterfowl if kept in a very small enclosure. Orinoco Geese feed primarily by grazing adjacent to the water, but love to occasionally eat live fish . Orinoco Geese are cavity nesters. The gander sounds a high whistle, and the goose a loud cackle.

Giant Canada (Branta Canadensis Maxima)

This goose is the largest of the Canadian Geese species. Both goose and gander are identical in colour. Canadian Geese are ground nesters.

Andean Geese (Chloephaga melanoptera)

These are high-altitude-dwelling Geese of America. They lay 5 – 10 grey-white eggs in a nest on the ground and the incubation period is 30 days.
