Common (European) Shelduck (Tadorna tadorna) The Common (European) Shelduck have gooselike characteristics and strong territorial behavior during breeding season. Both sexes have similar plumage, but the duck have white mottling around the base of her bill. The bill of the drake is bright red during breeding season.
