Whistling Ducks, as the name implies, have distinctive whistling calls. They have long legs and necks and both sexes have the same plumage and all have black under-wings.

White Faced Whistling Duck (Dendrocygna viduata)
Both sexes look alike and stay in colour throughout the year. Quite vocal, with a three note whistle with the last two notes closer. They need protection from extreme cold conditions as their huge feet are very susceptible to freezing.Length: 43-48cm
